I designed and developed a website for a family-owned camper van hire business, Kaikoura Campers, using Adobe XD for the design, and Webflow for development.

I created the website with a minimalist design, prioritising ease of navigation and user engagement across desktop and mobile. I utilised ample white space to achieve a modern, uncluttered aesthetic, punctuated by vibrant splashes of colour to create the atmosphere of a UK family holiday.

To enhance user interaction, booking buttons are strategically placed throughout the site, encouraging engagement. I integrated the client's external booking system, ‘bookalet' to streamline the website with the clients booking processes. Images of the camper vans are elevated through lightboxes and sliders, enhancing visual appeal.

The homepage features a first person video of a camper van driving through some UK scenic views, allowing potential customers to envisage themselves experiencing the camper van first-hand. Additional images showcase prime UK locations within drivable distance of the business, to show the camper van experience being offered.

To reflect its identity as a family-owned business, imagery of the client's family are used, giving the site a warm and approachable tone.

To manage the extensive information effectively, I used pop-out modals, sliders, and accordions, ensuring accessibility, aesthetic presentation and clarity. Key elements, such as booking and contact blocks, are fixed on the page to optimise usability. Mobile optimisation ensures a seamless experience across devices.
